Membership Criteria
To become a member of the Bangladesh Merchant Marine Employers Association (BMMEA), an applicant must be a government-approved and licensed manning agent operating in Bangladesh. Members are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.
Eligibility Requirements
- Valid government-issued Manning License (Bangladesh).
- Registered legal entity with up-to-date Trade License, TIN, and other documentation.
- Physical office in Bangladesh (verifiable address).
- No record of blacklisting, major violations, or fraud (domestic or international).
- Compliance with MLC-2006, ILO, STCW, and other relevant regulations.
- Commitment to crew welfare, fair recruitment, and ethical practice.
Required Documents
- Copy of valid Manning License
- Company Registration Certificate
- Latest Trade License
- Proof of office (utility bill, lease, etc)
- Company profile/background
- List of company directors / senior management
- Other documents as requested by Membership Committee
Application Process
- Collect all the required documents above.
- Send documents & formal application to info@bmmea.org
- Membership Committee will review and may schedule verification.
- Approval communicated by email; membership will be active upon confirmation.
